“Churrascaria” means barbecue in Portuguese, originated from South Brazil. This restaurant is the place where all real carnivores must go. All meats are well marinated in 40 year old recipes and served in long metal skewers. In an all-you-can-eat style, the meat-waiters, called Passadors, will go to your table slicing various cuts from the skewers to your plate. There are 15 different enjoyable cuts to try, including non meat such as fish and pineapple.
Begin your dinner by grabbing some dishes from the salad bar. Some are of Brazilian dishes, such as Feijoada which is black bean stew with pork parts. More than 25 varieties are ready to fulfill your big appetite including bamboo shoots, corn, potato salad, squid salad, fried mushroom and banana fritters. Moreover, try the typical cheese bread which has crispy coating but chewy and cheesy filling. But do not forget to leave some space in your stomach for the meats.
All the meats ranging from chicken, beef, lamb, fish and pork are skillfully prepared. Great choices of beef vary from beef tenderloin, hump, ribs & topside. The Passadors will slice the exact part professionally according to your request of the level of doneness. The beef hump is so special as it has marbling fat and flaky texture. Nicely marinated beef ribs are very tender and succulent. Although the restaurant serves very tender lamb, the meat has a very strong lamb aroma as it has high fat content. Grilled fish served with lemon is one of the healthier alternatives. The grilled pineapple are not to be missed as well. The exceptional sliced pineapple is grilled with the addition of sugar on the outer layer, leading to browning reaction. This imparts to the important aroma development and crispy texture. Moreover, the sour flesh of pineapple is crunchy and juice.
To cleanse your palate, dessert platter would be a great pick. Crepes with hot melt chocolate, strawberry halves topped with mango cream, coconut pudding with plum-based jam and apple cinnamon with sliced strawberry and crispy cracker must get a big wow.
Brazilian alcoholic drinks, such as Caipiroska (vodka with lime and watermelon) and Caipirinha (cachaca with lime) have delightful and amazing concoction. The alcohol and sour taste of lime in the drinks fitly complement the flavor of grilled meat. Wide varieties of red and white wines, ranging from Australian, Chilean, French to Italian are also available. Or order a series of beers and liquors to impart the tastiness of your food.
This paintings-decorated restaurant provides you both indoor and al fresco dining experiences in Brazilian feel as the framed paintings portray well-known images of Brazil and the Brazilian songs are played all the time. The salmon color surrounds almost the whole room. But the ambience is not so suitable for romantic dinner and/or important discussion due to the echo.
